Willie Lynch letter: The Making of a Slave
This speech was supposedly delivered by Willie Lynch on the bank of the James River in the colony of Virginia in 1712.
[beginning of the Willie Lynch Letter]
Greetings,Gentlemen. I greet you here on the bank of the James River in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and twelve. First, I shall thank you, the gentlemen of the Colony of Virginia, for bringing me here. I am here to help you solve some of your problems with slaves. Your invitation reached me on my modest plantation in the West Indies, where I have experimented with some of the newest, and still the oldest, methods for control of slaves. Ancient Rome would envy us if my program is implemented. As our boat sailed south on the James River, named for our illustrious King, whose version of the Bible we cherish, I saw enough to know that your problem is not unique. While Rome used cords of wood as crosses for standing human bodies along its highways in great numbers, you are here using the tree and the rope on occasions.
I just wanted to start off with a question.
Take a good look at the highlighted line and tell me what you see....Don't see it???...
Ok, no problem. I'll show you.
As Talib Kweli said in "Give Em Hell"....."Who was King James?...And why did he think it was so vital to remove chapters and make his own version of the Bible?"
And as we can see here...our very own Willie Lynch is fondly referring to this version of the bible....not so much the wording of it but the morbid interpretations that have come from it over the course of the past 1500 years.
There was a time in our history that people of color knew exactly who Yahweh was as well as His ways. They sung about them and him constantly in their Negro Spiritual songs during their harsh and bitter servitude. Sing a few bars of "Kum Ba Yah" or "Go Down Moses" to yourself and you'll recall.
Let's let Yahweh interpret His own word through His own Word......the answers are all there...trust.
Here is another thought for you:
Did you notice that they were currently using the methods of the Romans as far as killing people???..........but I thought the Messiah's message in the new proposed bible was a message of LOVE??
If Messiah Yahushua said He was the Way, The Truth and The Life.....and John said He was in the beginning and He was also indeed the Word of The Creator...then does this mean from the scriptures that Messiah IS the Torah???
Of course it does.....and that also means that it was He who wrote it. Hence why He said....
"I did not come to destroy the Law but to fulfill it."
We were always taught to not question what we have learned of God.....why???...because we were taught something else other than the original intention and interpretation of that Word.
BUT who did this???..................go back to Willie Lynch...he is teaching other slave owners how to keep Yahweh's people at bay.....and useless. Do the "Valley of Dry Bones" come to mind?? We know that the slaves were not allowed to read or write...let alone study the scriptures...but why???
Because the slave owners did not want them to have any common knowledge to know that to be held as captives is unlawful according to Yahweh, their Mighty One.
Which brings up another interesting point to be discussed later....
What was meant in Deuteronomy 28:68???? To be sent into Egypt again??? Seems to connect the people of Yahweh with the African-Americans.
Food 4 Thought!!!
